  • 10 basic responsibilities of a nonprofit board
  • Key tasks the board should undertake

"All Hands on Deck" Moving your Board from Better to Best

You know you have an understanding of board members roles and their tasks related to the success of your organization but you want to move your board from Good To Great. This workshop will help you take a closer look at the steps your board should take to guarantee it is doing its job well and efficiently. Learn how to motivate your board to become fully involved in promoting your mission and governing your organization. Attend this workshop if you:

 

  • Aren't sure what "higher level" conversations your board should be having
  • Your board meetings always run over by an hour and you’ve only gotten through half your agenda
  • You know what your board should be doing but are not quite sure how to keep them motivated and on track
  • Are overwhelmed with committee work and what feels like micromanaging

Board Chair Training

Leading a nonprofit board requires more than just following an agenda. It is important for the Board Chair to provide mission driven direction and leadership.

Many times when Board Chairs are elected they are not given the directions needed to guide the nonprofit organization. This workshop will help the Board Chair understand their roles and responsibilities designed to help better perform their duties.
