Description

Author and motivational coach Eleanor Brown famously wrote that “You cannot serve from an empty vessel.” Leaders are expected to give of themselves, but often do not take the time to replenish themselves so that they can lead at the highest possible level.

This concept is particularly predictive given the myriad of challenges faced by contemporary leaders. Today’s leaders are troubled with problems unknown to peers of previous years. Today’s leaders may be and are often charged with managing a multi-cultural, multi-generational workforce; managing a rapidly changing work environment; navigating new technologies; and figuring out how to guide dispersed teams and organizations during a pandemic.

Session Goals
In this panel discussion, we will:

  • Define self-care
  • Clarify the necessity for leaders to engage in self-care
  • Introduce ways that leaders can develop a personalized self-care routine.
