Capacity Building for United Way Funded Partners

About the Partnership

Nonprofit Network is partnering with United Way of Jackson County to provide capacity building services to the funded partners of United Way of Jackson County. These services are based on the nonprofit sector's best practices and aim to help organizations be more effective.

Capacity Building Stipend

Funded partners have access to a shared stipend fund.  Individual partners may request to use a portion of that fund for consulting services and workshops with Nonprofit Network. Stipend dollars are not available for membership with Nonprofit Network, but all members may use their member benefits in addition to stipend services. Refer to the full list of member benefits to ensure you are leveraging your resources.

How to Access the Stipend

Nonprofit Network offers a variety of services to build the capacity of nonprofits. These include coaching, facilitating board and staff conversations, leading retreats, providing development training for staff, public workshops, and many more.  A full list of the services we offer is available here.

To request use of the shared stipend, funded partners can call us at 517-796-4750 or email

Bridges Out of Poverty

United Way of Jackson County seeks to advance financial stability in Jackson County.  As a strategy to meet that goal, Nonprofit Network offers the Bridges Out of Poverty framework to the Jackson community.

How Access Bridges Out of Poverty Training

We offer quarterly workshops that are open to the public and will provide customized sessions for employers of people who are financially unstable. United Way of Jackson County and Nonprofit Network have designated a significant portion of this Capacity Building to make Bridges accessible and to incentivize the Bridges framework for employers and policy makers who can impact change at critical levels - this includes a reduced price on registration to Bridges Out of Poverty workshops and a 40% discount on a private Bridges workshop designed specifically for human relationship strategies.

If you are an employer of people who are financially unstable and would like to explore having your business trained in the Bridges Out of Poverty framework, call us at 517-796-4750 or email
