Recruiting and Managing Volunteers in 2024 - A Summit (in-person)

Recruiting and Managing volunteers in a virtual/hybrid world requires creativity and innovation. People continue to protect their time, limiting their volunteer activities yet seek ways to have true impact in their neighborhoods and communities. Workforce shortages and open positions create a higher demand for volunteers. Yet, fewer nonprofits can afford to devote an entire staff position to coordinating volunteers and instead add this function on to other job descriptions.

This Summit creates opportunities to share what’s working – and what isn’t, best practices and new ideas.  Facilitated by experts from Nonprofit Network and AARP MICHIGAN, the Summit will focus on how your nonprofit can revitalize and enhance your volunteer program.  Come exchange knowledge and explore how to address your unique challenges to create and foster a supportive volunteer community. Be prepared to engage deeply with others in small groups and round tables, and hear from respected leaders in the field.
